COVID-19 Update

The devastating effects of the worldwide pandemic have touched us all in some way and our lives have been changed as we seek to suppress and eradicate the virus.

In March this year we had to cease live broadcasting from our studios in compliance with the countrywide lockdown.

At that point, we could continue only with recorded programming but we were able to continue broadcasting through remote access to our computerised system.

At the end of August, some relaxation in the rules allowed us to re-introduce some live broadcasts from the studio. Social distancing regulations however, meant that only one presenter could be in the studio at a time.

The membership were consulted and it was agreed that the request shows could now be presented live and sufficient presenters were willing to ‘get back behind the microphone’. So from the beginning of September evening requests shows resumed.

Unfortunately, ward visiting remained severely restricted and our ward visitors could not do their rounds and collect requests. Sadly this position continues. So we are looking for patients, their relatives and friends to send in their requests by email, telephone (answer machine always on) or through our Facebook page. We will keep you updated on developments through our website and Facebook page.

Stay safe.
