Celebration !

Inverness Hospital Radio reached it’s 50th anniversary in November 2020 when, unfortunately, the COVID pandemic impacted on our plans for celebration. One such event was a Civic Reception offered and hosted by the City of Inverness Area Committee of Highland Council. As this required to be postponed at the time, it was deferred until last week. On Friday 8th March, our achievement was acknowledged. IHR Members enjoyed the hospitality of the Council at the Town Hall in Inverness with the opportunity to meet with some of the Highland Council members and have presentations of long service awards made to some of our volunteers.

Our thanks to the Council and the Committee for their organisation of an enjoyable evening and the introduction and welcome from Depute Provost Morven Reid. Pictured with Morven are Donnie Aird, the co-founder of IHR in 1970 and Vi Murray one of our longest serving members.
